FAQs

What is Telefund?

Since 1980, the KSU Foundation has annually hosted Telefund, the student-volunteer calling program to connect with alumni and parents to raise support for scholarships and other funding priorities within their colleges. Callers are encouraged to participate through their student organizations, clubs and colleges or departments. Telefund provides students the opportunity to make a philanthropic impact by giving their time and effort in helping fellow students.

How long is Telefund?

Calling takes place Sunday through Thursday from the end of January through February. All colleges on campus in Manhattan and K-State Salina participate.

What does my gift do/go toward?

Gifts typically go to fund student scholarships and other education-related needs of K-State's nine colleges. See where your Telefund donation goes.

What is a pledge? Is there a minimum amount? How long do I have to fulfill my pledge?

A pledge is the gift amount you would like to contribute. There is no minimum amount, however, callers are provided an "ask" amount for each person they call, based on the individual's previous giving history. After speaking to the caller, if you would like to make a gift, a pledge card will be mailed to you with a return envelope so that you may make your gift at your earliest convenience. If you prefer, you may make your gift online.
